SOM 201 - The Edinburgh Lectures of Thomas Troward
The Edinburgh Lectures have inspired nearly every other early New Thought writer, including Dr. Ernest Holmes. Judge Thomas Troward delivered them in Scotland in 1908 and they have served as a touchstone for metaphysical thinking to this day. Troward's mind is logical, brilliant, and extremely precise. This class is excellent for the serious student of New Thought.
SOM 202 - Emersons Essays and the Trancendental Movement
Ralph Waldo Emerson was the most quoted, most inspirational writer in America for over a hundred years. He has influenced the New Thought Movement profoundly and is quoted by all the great metaphysical writers. Background information on Emerson's times and his fellow members of the Trancendentalists circle is also covered.
SOM 203 - What the Mystics Taught
The purpose of this class is to study teachings at the heart of numerous religions and the mystical expressions of great spiritual teachers-- those who had the direct experience of oneness with God. We all have an inner mystic. This class facilitates developing that inner mystic so that we may arrive at spirtual realizations more organically.
